Car ID help?

He guys I saw a car today I didn’t recognize. No pic because it was headed the wrong way. It was a little blue roadster probably British. It had a low, wide front grille with a thin horizontal bar across it. no plastic bumpers, possibly no bumpers at all. And the unique thing about it, it had fins, thin, modest fins. Any idea what I might have seen?

My favorite Brit for your time.

Oh also it had a red badge on the front but I could make out th shape of it.

Edit: I think it was a Sunbeam Alpine. The car was designed in the late 50's specifically with the American market in mind, which explains the Fins.

After a GIS of “british roadster with fins” that was the conclusion I reached as well.

EDIT: Oops again, sounds like it was solved.

At first I was thinking coupes at first and guessed Peerless GT with its fins, but got interrupted and that’s no roadster. Daimler SP250s have little fins, but the grille doesn’t match with a horizontal bar.

i do that too sometimes, when i see something real interesting for only a second...... start creating details, that i THOUGHT i saw.........
